She's Fighting. I'm Stepping Up.
This August, I'm participating in the National Breast Cancer Foundation Step Up Challenge in honour of someone very special to me – my mother.
Mum has shown unbelievable strength and resilience through her breast cancer journey. She is now undergoing treatment for the third time, facing every challenge with courage and faith. Watching someone you love fight this disease is heartbreaking, but it has also shown me the importance of research, early detection, and the incredible support provided to those affected by breast cancer.
Every day, thousands of Australians are impacted by breast cancer, whether it's a diagnosis of their own or someone they love. By taking on this challenge, I'm hoping to raise funds that will help the National Breast Cancer Foundation continue funding world-class research, improve treatment options, and move us closer to a future with zero deaths from breast cancer.
