HOW CAN YOU STEP UP TO BREAST CANCER
Together, we can Step Up to Breast Cancer this August. The more steps we complete, the more money we raise, and the closer we get to ending deaths from breast cancer.
Whether you walk or run your daily 10,000 steps throughout the month. You can do them wherever you like, whenever you like and all while maintaining your social distance. For every step you take over the month you'll be improving your overal health and wellbeing. Research shows that getting at least 30 minutes of monderate intensity physical exercise a day is ideal to help reduce your risk of developing breast cancer. So join us now and Step Up to Breast Cancer.
Step Up with friends
Make the most of restrictions easing and Step Up as a team. Go for lunch break walks with a friend while working from home. Get the kids out for a bush walk at the weekend. Let everyone know that they will be walking (or running) with a purpose.
Create a challenge
within a challenge
Challenge yourself to walking 27,690 steps in one day (that’s the distance of a half marathon 21.1km). Tell your friends and family you’ll do it when you reach your fundraising goal. And the best part is, you can take the next day off.
Dance like crazy
Who said your steps can only be tracked when walking or running? Not us! Pick a day, pick your playlist, and dance your steps away! Be sure to get video evidence to share on your fundraising page to encourage donations.
Mix It Up
Set mini challenges over the month, such as when you raise $250 you’ll do 250 star jumps, $500 and you’ll skip your steps that day or $1,000 and you’ll run up 1000 stairs! Make sure you share updates and photos on your personal fundraising page.
Dress Pink and Proud
Turn heads as you Step Up to Breast Cancer by wearing a pink wig, tutu, or some crazy socks. Reach a fundraising goal and tell your supporters you’ll find the silliest, pinkest outfit to complete your steps in.
Keep it social
Take to Instagram, Facebook and tiktok to document your steps. Let everyone know you are stepping up to breast cancer and how much their support means to you.
Swap a drive with a walk
Usually drive to the shops, post office, brunch? Swap it for a walk, it’s even more fun is you add a friend or fur baby.
