Support my challenge to step up to breast cancer!

Right now, 57 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

This August, I am taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Please make a donation to support my challenge and let's step up to breast cancer together!

Thank you for your support.

My journey

Saturday 3rd Aug
At 39, I was diagnosed with Breastcancer.  I don't have a family history of breastcancer, and as is the case for most people, this came as a bit of a shock.

An analogy that has resonated with me for over a decade and that helped me in this circumstance is the feather, the brick and the truck.  The universe is looking out for you, wants good things for you and will send your messages to put you on the right path, you just need to listen.  The first is the feather, which is that initial gut feeling and thought in the back of your mind that you need to do something, something isn't right etc.  If you don't listen to the feather, you get the truck.  The stronger and sometimes more painful reminder to attend to something.  Lastly if you don't listen to the brick, you get the truck, which is the event you universe has been trying to avoid.

I listened to my body and the pain I felt early on, which is why my cancer is a feather and I want it to be a feather reminder for everyone else.  I caught this early, prognosis looks good and I will go through my journey to treat and recover from this.  I want some positive to come out of my situation, which is why raising awareness and supporting charities to make a difference is so important to me.  The statistics are too high and to scary.

I'm currently going through chemo, so am breaking this 57km down to bite sized daily kms, which keep me moving to achieve my goal.

Join me on this journey... and let's make a difference together ??
