Why I'm running 70km this August <3

This August, I'm taking part in the Step Up to Breast Cancer challenge and have committed to walking and running 70km to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Earlier this year, my beautiful godmother Wendy was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer after already fighting and beating this cruel disease twice before.

Wendy has always been someone I look up to. She is one of the strongest, most caring, and selfless people I know. No matter what life throws at her, she faces it with resilience, courage, and a positive attitude. Even during the most difficult times, she continues to put others before herself and bring light to those around her. Her strength is truly inspiring, and I am so proud to have her in my life.

I'm completing this challenge in honour of Wendy and for everyone impacted by breast cancer. Every kilometre I walk and run this month is dedicated to her, and to all those who are fighting, have fought, or have lost loved ones to this disease.
