I’m running for a cause that hits far too close to home.
I’m a cancer survivor — not of breast cancer, but of neuroendocrine cancer. I’m still a patient, still fighting. And like so many of you, I’ve lost too many people I love to this cruel disease.
Running doesn’t come naturally to me. I’m unfit, and I’ve never been a runner — but I’m pushing my limits every day. This challenge gives me a reason to keep moving forward, even when it’s hard.
I’m doing this to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research, in honour of the loved ones we’ve lost, those still fighting, and those who will face this battle in the future.
