Pink for a Purpose

This August, the team at Frontline Fire & Rescue is going pink for a purpose.

As we prepare for the handover of our new Pink Fire Appliance to Hancock Iron Ore, our team is taking on a Head Shave and Pink Hair Challenge to raise funds and awareness for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

Inspired by Hancock Iron Ore's existing pink fleet initiative and longstanding support of NBCF, this fundraiser brings our team together to support the thousands of Australians affected by breast cancer while helping fund the world-class research needed to create a future with zero deaths from breast cancer.

Every day, 56 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer and, sadly, 9 Australians lose their lives to the disease. For many of us at Frontline Fire & Rescue, this is more than a statistic. Breast cancer has touched the lives of our employees, families, friends and colleagues.

That's why members of our team are stepping up to shave their heads, spray their hair pink and rally support from family, friends, customers and industry partners. Every donation, no matter the size, helps fund life-changing breast cancer research and brings hope to the thousands of Australians and families affected by breast cancer.
