I'm now a Pink Hero
4 Nurses, 2 swims, 1 Cause
The nurses at Reynolds Road Medical Centre are swapping out our usual scrubs for bathers and taking on the challenge of swimming to Rotto TWICE in 4 weeks, participating in both the Rottnest Channel Swim and Port to Pub, for every mum, sister, friend, colleague and patient who has faced breast cancer.
As nurses, we see the strength and courage it takes to face this diagnosis, and for many of us, it’s close to home. We have supported our own loved ones through this fight, and we will be carrying their stories with us on the day and into the water.
These swims are our way of turning love into action. They are about hope, early detection, better treatments and standing together as a community. The swims will be tough, with long hours, early mornings and very sore shoulders, but they are nothing compared to what so many families go through.
We are so grateful for the incredible support behind us. Your encouragement and donations mean the world and will help carry us all the way to Rotto, not once but twice.
Together, we can make waves and make a difference. 💕🌊
