August is always an interesting time for me as this year it is 8 years since my first diagnosis. Always fighting and giving Cancer the F*CKOFF.
56 a day is a horrible stat; treatments are getting better and better and hopefully soon we hear the magical "Worked it Out - Stopped/Cured".
This "thing" affects women and men and doesn't care if your great grandmother (I know of a lady of 94 with first diagnosis - cruel!), aunty, sister, etc, etc
