I'm celebrating my birthday with NBCF this year!
As you may know, my mum got diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago when I was 18. She is the most precious person in my life and it felt like my world was shutting down. I didn't know how to process it. One thing I did do that made me feel like I had a bit of agency was I created a NBCF Fundraiser for my 18th birthday in lieu of gifts. I was so touched by all the support from my friends and family. A few years later and my beautiful mum and best friend is still here. For this birthday, I am setting up this fundraiser to honour her as a surprise. No pressure to donate but if you feel so inclined, instead of gifts I would prefer a donation here.
Did you know that every day 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people lose their lives to this disease?
