Right now, 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

This August, I am taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Monday 10th Aug
My first City to Surf and definitely won’t be me last. Such an amazing vide out there as a participant. For so long I’ve looked at it from the outside and wondered what the feeling of actually participating would be like. I was not disappointed. From the moment I got on the ferry at Manly to head into the city. The runners joining me on that journey to the event, instigated the atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. The crowds, the music, the loud speakers, the costumes, the coloured smoke bombs, the colour, the colour the colour. The Humanity. Everyone loving life, living together, joined in a celebration of life. I was so happy with my result and meeting my goal of running the full distance. Motivated to set a higher goal. When do registrations open ?

Race prep

Sunday 9th Aug
Had a great prep run yesterday for the City to Surf. Such a great vibe on Manly Beach on a Saturday morning. the K’s seemed a little easier with the atmosphere around the place, people just loving to be alive. So excited for the run today, vibe to the max.

Kick off

Sunday 2nd Aug
I kicked of my August KMs with a chilly MTB at Mt Stromlo. With a few mates on the trail with me, it was an amazing ride in freezing conditions, but the company added the warmth we needed to get the KMs in. it was great to have Beauy with us who is recovering from a brain bleed, and has not been able to join us for a while, with the fatigue and recovery required for that. We are so blessed that he is still with us and will have the opportunity to share our early Saturday morning rides for years to come.
