Why I'm Walking
Monday 27th JulThis year, I'm walking for every grandmother, mother, sister, daughter, aunty, niece, cousin, best friend, colleague, neighbour, and every incredible woman whose life has been touched by breast cancer.
Breast cancer doesn't just affect one person—it impacts entire families, friendship circles, and communities. Most of us know someone who has faced this journey, whether they're still fighting, celebrating remission, or remembered with love.
I'm taking part in the National Breast Cancer Foundation Walk to help raise awareness, fund life-changing research, and move us closer to a future where no one dies from breast cancer.
But this walk is about more than fundraising. It's also a reminder to all of us: know your normal. Check your breasts regularly, be aware of any changes, and don't put off your routine screening or a visit to your doctor if something doesn't feel right. Early detection saves lives.
Every step I take is for the women we love, those we've lost, those currently facing breast cancer, and future generations who deserve a world without it.
