My beautiful mum and I will be doing the 58km challenge to raise awareness, raise funds, and help fight breast cancer for good. Every step counts, and every donation helps.
Breast cancer is something we are incredibly passionate about. We've had loved ones go through it, and it's something I wouldn't wish upon anyone. It's heartbreaking, terrifying, and completely life changing.
When I was just 17, I had my own scare. Thankfully, it turned out to be benign but that experience really opened my eyes. That's why I believe it's so important to remind everyone, no matter your age to get your checks, and to check yourself at home too. It doesn't matter how young you are, how healthy you feel, or who you are it can happen to anyone.
We all think we're invincible... until we're not.
So let this be your reminder: Check yourself. Book the scan. Talk to your doctor.
If you're able to give (even just a little), it would mean the world to us.
