Why I'm Stepping Up...
In December 2022, my life changed forever when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 (IDC) breast cancer.
What followed was a journey I never expected to take—chemotherapy, radiation, multiple surgeries, and ongoing hormone treatment that will continue for many years to come. Like so many others affected by breast cancer, I've experienced the physical, emotional, and mental challenges that come with this disease. It's a journey that doesn't simply end when treatment finishes.
This year, I'm stepping up because I know firsthand how important research, early detection, and support services are. Every breakthrough, every new treatment, and every support program exists because people before us chose to stand up and make a difference.
I'm walking for everyone currently fighting this disease, for those who have survived, for those we've lost, and for the families and friends who stand beside them every step of the way.
The reality is that breast cancer touches almost every family.
