Support my challenge to step up to breast cancer!

Right now, 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

This August, I am taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

I’m making the most of these beautiful sunny ( but chilly) mornings here in NSW and clocking up the km’s. I’m over half way there already but I’ll just keep going. My fundraising is doing amazing and I am so grateful to everyone that has donated so far. Most of us know or will know someone in our lifetime with breast cancer. It may be you or your mum, sister, Nan, niece, husband, brother or dad because yes, men can get breast cancer too. There are some amazing treatments these days for breast cancer and the success rates just keep getting better. With more research this is only going to improve over the years and your donation, however big or small can help to make a difference. Bar Beach - Mereweather Beach walk

It has been a week now since my first chemo and today I actually feel human again!! I won’t lie, it’s been a tough few days but this morning I came down to Bar Beach to walk along this stunning coastline we have here in Australia. I am now sat on the beach with a good book taking in this natural beauty. Somewhere that I get to call home and somewhere that is helping me heal and fight this shitty disease called Cancer. The power of fresh air!

We’ve had non stop rain for over 24 hours and I’ve not felt great this weekend but we caught a break in the rain and came down for a nice walk in the sea air. I feel 100 times better just for doing this.
