Right now, 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.
This August, I am taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.
I am doing this to raise funds for NationalΒ Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Friday 31st JulGood Afternoon Everyone,
Right now, 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every single day. Unfortunately, I am one of them.
A few months ago, my world changed with three words no one ever wants to hear: "You have cancer." Since then, life has become a whirlwind of surgeries, countless appointments, and now chemotherapy.
Many of you have watched this journey from the sidelines, supporting me, checking in on me, and understanding that some days are much harder than others. For that, I am incredibly grateful.
This August, while I am still in the middle of chemotherapy, I have committed to walking 112 kilometres as part of the Step Up to Breast Cancer challenge.
There will be days when I am exhausted. Days when the treatment makes every step feel impossible. But I will keep walking because I am one of the lucky onesβI still have the chance to take another step. Many people diagnosed with breast cancer don't get that opportunity, and that's who I'll be thinking about with every kilometre I walk.
I'm not doing this just for me.
I'm doing it for every woman, every family, every friend, every husband, every partner, every child, and everyone whose life has been turned upside down by breast cancer. I'm doing it in the hope that one day fewer families will have to hear those devastating words, "You have breast cancer."
The money raised through the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) goes directly towards funding life-saving research. That research gives people like me hope. It improves treatments, increases survival rates, and brings us closer to a future where no one loses their life to breast cancer.
