I'm now a Pink Hero

This month, I lost one of my friends. She was one of the strongest people I've ever known. She faced every challenge with incredible courage, fought harder than anyone should ever have to, and continued to inspire everyone around her with her strength and kindness.

Losing her has changed the way I see life. It's reminded me how precious every day is and how important it is to do something that can make a difference for others.

In her honour, my best friend Ruby and I are taking on a challenge together. I'll be running the Half Marathon and Ruby will be running the Full Marathon at the Horsham Running Festival. Together, we're also cutting and donating our hair while raising money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation to help fund life-changing breast cancer research.

This is so much more than a run or a haircut. It's our way of honouring an incredible woman, supporting those currently facing breast cancer, and helping create a future where fewer families have to experience the heartbreak of losing someone they love.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help fund world-class research and bring us one step closer to the National Breast Cancer Foundation's vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
