Support my challenge to Step Up to Breast Cancer!

Right now, 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

This August, I am taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Wednesday 12th Aug
Not gonna lie…setting off in the late, cold arvo after a busy day was tough - I think I staggered, not walked! It’s nothing when you compare it to how hard cancer treatment is though, so I sucked it up & enjoyed the floral displays along the way.

Tuesday 11th Aug
Back on track today, with three walks. It was bloody freezing this morning!!! The afternoon sun was lovely & I snapped a picture of the bowlo as I walked by.

Day 10 - no walking :(

Monday 10th Aug
Today’s weather combined with a full day of plumbing & electrical at home meant no opportunity to walk for the first time in I don’t know how long. It felt strange! Back at it tomorrow.

Sunday 9th Aug
Well not quite. I’ll do my best to take another lap today. Was glorious in the sunshine this morning. Chachi likes a bit off carry-time.

Sunday 9th Aug
Was a cold one so had to follow up the dog walk with treadmill time again & boy, did it take ages to get warmed up! A beautiful show of tulips at Stirling Cottage.

Day 7 done!

Friday 7th Aug
Only 2kms today….disappointed but I was just too busy to get any more in so I’ve got a bit of making up to do tomorrow, that’s ok. Kitchen renovation taking up my time, almost finished.

Thursday 6th Aug
Had a bit of aggravation with the app today but got some walking in. Hoping the good weather continues - I absolutely love looking at gardens & I’m so looking forward to Spring.

Wednesday 5th Aug
Kicked myself when I forgot to track my walk to the gym & back! made it up with an even longer, brisk walk into town & back, dreaming of warm spring days ahead.

Tuesday 4th Aug
A few less steps today but I’m more focused on distance to meet my goal. I’m right on track 🙌🏼

Monday 3rd Aug
Another active day, enjoying the winter sun. Walked the dogs, walked to the gym, walked on the treadmill a couple of times & watched my Pilates course material - it makes treadmill walking a lot less boring!

Sunday 2nd Aug
Dog walk plus an extra solo walk in a different direction, checking out some lovely gardens. Here’s a little peek at Snell Park in town. All up I managed more than 14k steps today.

Saturday 1st Aug
16k steps today but I’m only noting focused walks, not steps. I’m pretty cooked after a day of lots of gardening but pleased I got almost 4kms in the tank.
