October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it's a time when many of us pause to think of the people in our lives who have been touched by this disease. In Australia, around 57 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every day. Behind each of those numbers is a mother, a sister, a colleague, a friend.
Early detection saves lives, and a simple check or screening appointment can make all the difference.
Just as strong relationships depend on looking out for one another, so do healthy communities. We encourage you, your teams and your loved ones to make time for regular screening and to support those facing treatment or recovery. If you haven't booked your mammogram or checked in with your GP, please consider this your gentle nudge.
