I MADE A PROMISE

I have made a promise to my sister Dionne Glazbrook that I will join her on this walking for cancer.  Our Mum had breast cancer and sadly passed away in 2023 from cancer that was in her lungs, breast and other places.  She fought hard but she had to go and be with our Dad who had passed away in 2022.  This year I had kidney cancer but have been so lucky that it was caught early and once the kidney was out the cancer is gone.  I made 2 promises to my family during this time, 1. I would give up smoking/vaping - DONE. 2. I would start looking after my health, eating better and exercising.  Well this walk is the start of my next journey its time to do this not only for my Mum, Sister and my family but for myself.  I have lost a lot of confidence in myself since my surgery due to my weight gain and I guess not feeling myself.  So I will complete these 116kms within the month of August.  They say it takes 21 days to form new habits, I will make walking/exercising my new habit.
