Support our challenge to Step Up to Breast Cancer!

Many of you know our wonderful colleague, Erica Fonseca, who this year celebrates an incredible 11 years with Jobfit. Throughout her time with us, Erica has been an integral part of our team, supporting onsite services, mentoring and training new starters, and always stepping in wherever she is needed. Her kindness, generosity and unwavering commitment have touched so many people across our organisation. Affectionately known by the WA team as the "founding lady of Jobfit", Erica is truly cherished by colleagues across the country.

Recently, Erica received a breast cancer diagnosis. We know that hearing those words marks the beginning of an incredibly challenging journey, and as a national team, we want Erica to know that she has our unwavering support every step of the way.

Throughout August, every Jobfit clinic across the country is invited to take part in our National Breast Cancer Foundation fundraiser. Together, we'll each aim to complete 56 kilometres during the month, representing the 56 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer every day. By participating together across our national network, we hope to show Erica that she has the support of her entire Jobfit family while also raising awareness and funds for an important cause.

Our fundraising page is now live, and we encourage everyone to get involved in whatever way they can. 

Whether you choose to complete the challenge, make a donation, or simply cheer on your colleagues, every contribution helps raise awareness and supports the incredible work of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Throughout August, we'll have a dedicated Microsoft Teams channel where clinics can encourage one another, share walking updates, celebrate milestones and post photos along the way as we complete the challenge together.

To finish the month, we'll be holding a National Wear Pink Day on Friday, 28 August. We encourage every Jobfit clinic to get involved by wearing pink, taking a team photo and sharing it in the Teams channel. Whether you're walking the challenge, making a donation or simply wearing pink, every clinic has the opportunity to be part of this important initiative.
