~☆My Story☆~

✨️🩷✨️🩷✨️🩷✨️ Basically, Breast Cancer unfortunately runs in my mum's side of the family. Mum has 2 sisters and 1 brother, she's the 2nd youngest of them all.

She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a few years back but luckily it was minor.

Her middle sister has 3 daughters of which her middle daughter was diagnosed twice, had a bilateral mastectomy and luckily is doing well at the moment while taking long term medication.

Mum's oldest sister was diagnosed numerous times and even got a bilateral mastectomy as well. She was doing well and was given the all clear until we found out around 3 years ago that it sadly has spread in other areas. She is currently undergoing treatment. Previously, she has been through chemotherapy however, due to her age (now 81) and physical condition, she's unable to have chemotherapy. Instead, she is being given very strong medication and injections which constantly makes her feel weak and unwell.

It truly breaks my heart knowing that she's suffering so much and she lives all the way in Sri Lanka. She is like a mother to me. She looked after me since I was born until I came to Australia when I was 9 months old. Her continuous love and support for me when we go back every 2-3 years is unexplainable. This all makes it more heartbreaking for me.

I have constantly been feeling helpless as I'm from Melbourne. I came across this challenge recently and thought to myself if I can't be physically with her, then this would be a lovely way to give her my support in some way.

I would wholeheartedly appreciate if you could assist my Step Up journey. It would mean the world to us.
