Running for the girls - Literally
Let me start by saying — I’m not a runner.
But this August, I’ll be running (or at least very determinedly jogging) 58 kilometres to honour the 58 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer every single day.
I’m doing this because so many women fight cancer without a choice. So I’m choosing to do this for them.
I lost my mum to a rare cancer when I was just 8 years old. While it wasn’t breast cancer, this challenge still hit home. Losing the strongest female connection in my life changed everything. So this run is for her and for every mother, daughter, sister, aunty, friend and loved one touched by this disease.
My mum was a writer, an artist, a teacher — full of heart, creativity, and quiet strength. I carry her with me in everything I do. This is for her. For every woman who’s fought, survived, or been taken too soon.

I really need support because I get out of breath easily and my feet already hurt (but hey, if nothing else, I’ll be fitter by the end of this.)
