This August, our team is taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.
We are doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

I am donating because I can't do the walk. My very first job in a hospital, in 1982, was as a Ward Clerk on the breast cancer ward at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. I remember so well a lovely woman who was a day younger than I am - she had been diagnosed when she was 3 months pregnant with her first baby - treatment included "losing" the baby, and this still didn't save her. I hope my donation goes toward research into better solutions for this dreadful disease.
