I'm now a Pink Hero
I am fundraising because I have had family members, as well as many people close to me, affected by this cause. I don't feel there is enough awareness, and I want to do my part to help educate people while raising funds to support ongoing research and services.
I own a landscaping business, Pink Boots Landscapes, and after the success of last year's fundraiser, I've decided to make this an annual event. My goal is to bring together my clients, friends, family, and the wider community for a great day while supporting an important cause.
The event will be held on Saturday, 24 October, during the day at a local park. There will be a fundraising link available for people to donate both before and after the event if they are unable to attend or would simply like to contribute.
On the day, I plan to have a plant sale, a barbecue, and a selection of healthy snacks such as fresh fruit available for purchase. All food preparation and handling will be carried out in accordance with the appropriate food safety and OH&S requirements.
I'm hoping to see a strong turnout from the community and raise both awareness and much-needed funds for a cause that means a great deal to me.
