Why I am doing this ?
Wednesday 16th JulThis August, I’m walking 58km to raise money for the Breast Cancer Foundation — a cause that hits incredibly close to home. I lost my beautiful mum to breast cancer in 2006, and her loss changed my world. This year, after finding out I carry the BRCA1 gene, I made the difficult but empowering decision to undergo a preventative double mastectomy. I’m walking in honour of my mum, for myself, and for every woman and family touched by this disease. Every step I take is for hope, strength, and a future free from breast cancer.
