Support my challenge to step up to breast cancer!
Right now, 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.
December 6, 2024 I became a member of this ever growing club, one that I don’t wish anyone to join me in. 8 months in, I have just finished active treatment and fortunate to make it through treatment and successfully have the tumours and affected lymph nodes removed. However it doesn’t end there. No, now it’s the hormone blockers, the recovery from neuropathy in my hands and feet, brain fog, significant fatigue, numbness and reduced mobility in my arm, nerve pain and so much more.
So… This August, birthday month for me (yes I have extended it to birthday month and why the hell not, life is too short) I am taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for all of us, the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.
I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives, to improve treatment options that are more personalised to the individual, that are less invasive and debilitating.
