Support my challenge to step up to breast cancer!
This August, I'm stepping up to breast cancer by walking 5.6km a day and completing 174km this August!I decided to do this challenge in memory of my mum. My mum passed away in 2023 from metastatic breast cancer, she battled this disease for 13 years. Before my mum passed away I found a lump in my breast I was 18 years old, however it was a benign fibroadenoma that I then decided to get removed 2024. I can not describe the feeling I felt when I had discovered the lump, I was scared of the outcome and the first thing that I thought was breast cancer.
I want to encourage every female and male to check their breast regularly! It does not matter how old you are, it doesn't matter if someone in your family doesn't have breast cancer!
