One very personal reason to run
In August, Iโll be running 56km to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.
Every single day in Australia, around 56 people are diagnosed with breast cancer. Behind that number are mums, daughters, sisters, friends and families whose lives are changed forever.
This cause is incredibly close to my heart. My own mum has faced a breast cancer diagnosis and my two older sisters & I also carry the BRCA2 gene, meaning this is something that will always be a part of my story.
I have seen first-hand the impact breast cancer has had on the people I love and sadly I know far too many people who have been affected by this disease.
So, every kilometre I run will be for those currently fighting, those who have overcome it, those we have lost and the families standing beside them.
I would be so grateful for any support, whether thatโs a donation, sharing my page, or simply cheering me on from the sidelines.ย
