Right now, 57 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

This August, I am taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Halfway through the Step Up to Breast Cancer Challenge.
This year I vowed to walked 114km in the month of August. And I have just hit the half way mark.

The first 57km was for my Mum. She was diagnosed with BC in 2022. Watching her battle this horrible disease was heartbreaking. BUT she was incredibly strong and lucky and made it through. And I am eternally grateful for this.

My second 57km, is for those who lost their battle. This year the realisation that some people aren't as lucky as my Mum, really hit home. Having someone you know be lost to such a horrible disease is infuriating, sad, frustrating and devastating.... Watching their families, friends and colleagues try and pick up the pieces and make sense of why it happened to such a beautiful soul, is something I never want to experience again.

This year is my 3rd year doing the Step Up to Breast Cancer Challenge. 

I started this challenge to honour my Mum and her journey with Breast Cancer, but over the years I have realised that this decease affects so many others. 

Some that have fought and won, like my mum, and others who are not so lucky.
