Support my challenge to Step Up to Breast Cancer!

Right now, 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

This August, I am taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Thursday 6th Aug
Today was an emotional run. I went back to my childhood neighbourhood where I grew up. So much has changed, but the roads remain the same. I ran to my primary school which is now homes. I ran to the nursing home where my mom was a residence for 8 years. I ran back to the house that held so many memories. One final farewell. But the roads remain the same.

Day 1 - unexpected start

Monday 3rd Aug
Found myself starting my run without the right gear. I hadn't planned on not going home, the family had made last minute changes to the day. But it least I had trackie pants and sneakers on. I ran a full 5km and realised I hadn't set the GPS to "always on". The next 5km I started to get blisters from the minimalist sneakers I had never ran in. I checked the app again and realised I could have linked my Strava. I tried linking but the data hasn't changed. I'll keep using the NBCF app.
