This month, Danica Sweeney, Robyn Storch and I have been walking together to raise awareness and much-needed funds for breast cancer research. Our team, Steps for Mel, has almost reached our $3,000 fundraising goal! 🎀 Every kilometre we’ve walked and every donation we’ve received has been in honour of those affected by breast cancer — the women fighting, the survivors, the families supporting them, and the loved ones we’ve lost. We’re so close now! ❤️ If you’re able to donate, even a small amount makes a difference and helps support vital breast cancer research. Steps for Mel 💕

Last August, our beautiful mum, Mel, was diagnosed with breast cancer.

It was news none of us expected, especially after watching her face a brain tumour over 10 years ago. You never imagine someone you love having to navigate one life-changing diagnosis, let alone two.

Since then, Mum has shown us what true strength looks like. She has undergone a lumpectomy, a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation. Through it all she has continued to take everything in her stride. One of her biggest worries before starting chemo was losing her hair but she surprised us all by absolutely owning her new short haircut. We  love it just as much as she does and I think I think it might be here to stay!

Next month, Rhi and I will be taking part in Step Up for Breast Cancer and walking every step in Mum’s honour.

We’re walking for Mel. For everyone who has faced a breast cancer diagnosis. For those currently in treatment, those who have come out the other side, and for the families walking alongside them.

Support our challenge to Step Up to Breast Cancer!

Right now, 56 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

This August, our team is taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

We are doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.
