I'm now a Pink Hero
As a family, we started the “For Sue” fundraising initiative, in memory of our beloved mum and wife to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
A cause that became deeply personal to us after Sue’s diagnosis in October 2021.
Sue fought her battle with breast cancer with a constant smile on her face. Enduring operations, chemotherapy and 5 weeks straight of daily radiotherapy with a positive and hopeful attitude.
Though we shared a brief period of remission and memories were made through travel and day to day activity, the cancer returned in May 2023, spreading to her bones and later her liver.
Sadly, on the 17th of January 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, Sue’s battle with cancer came to an end at age 58.
To honour her, we work at raising funds in the hope that no other family is faced with what we were and that one day a cure may be found.
Every dollar raised goes directly to the NBCF to support life-saving research into the prevention and early detection of breast cancer for both women and men.
