Brock's Stepping Up to Breast Cancer
Hello Everyone! This August, I'll be joining the National Breast Cancer Foundation's initiative to Step Up to Breast Cancer. Right now, 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every day, so throughout the month, Australians will be running 1km for each diagnosed Australian, totalling 56km. However, I will be DOUBLING this figure, running a WHOPPING 112KM.
In 2019, my mum, Leah, became one of those 56 Australians and was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Her journey was arduous, frightening, and littered with obstacles, but thankfully in 2021 she was cleared and is now living healthily. However, some Australians are not so lucky and need constant support from their friends, families, and communities.
So, I am doing this in order to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives and support those who are diagnosed and their families.
If you have the capability, please consider contributing even the smallest amount! Anything that goes towards this fundraiser is a plus.
