Losing my mum to breast cancer in 2023 was the most devastating experience of my life. This one is for you mummy.

Hi ? my name is Ange - Breast Cancer Sucks, please help if you can. i lost my mum to this Disease in 2023 , lets stop this together ??

Right now, 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

This August, I am taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

It’s a weird feeling …..

Today as I sit and contemplate all my amazing supporters and all you guys have given, I am happy. 
Them on the flip side i am sad, so sad - I remember why I’m Doing this, why I’m Asking for donations and why I’m walking to raise awareness. 
It’s for my mum my hero.  I have flashbacks of her though our lives, and towards the end of hers ….strangely its comforting  I never want to forget. 
Mum had a wicked sense of humor and taught me so much without me even realising it. It’s true we take the ones we love for granted, not deliberately but I wish I resalised sooner what I could not get back, Or make up for. 
High your mum if you have her, have a coffee and chat. 
I miss these times so much….if I could just have one more ….. 

Lastly mum didn’t let us know how bad she felt, she always put on a brave face and happy cheeky smile … until she couldn’t any longer. 

Please be aware , get checked , if you notice any changes to your body that don’t seem right, don’t dismiss them.

Thankyou to my supporters it truly gives me the strength to keep pushing forward in memory of my mum. 

My beautiful mum passed 1st May 2023. Her Breast Cancer had sadly come back after 10 years of remission. It metastasised into 5 parts of her body and unfortunately she could t come back from
It. Watching my best friend and hero slowly become just a memory has been the most life changing experience. 

Mum loved her garden, her garden was her happy place. Roses and blossoms, her snow ball tree. 
Pruning and sitting taking pleasure in her work was a delight to watch. And her faeries her garden was filled with magic for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren to enjoy. 
I miss her and if anything good can come from her passing is I can make a small impact to others lives through fundraising and spreading awareness to this horrible disease.
