Buzzing, Bleaching, and 21K for a Cure
Stepping way out of my comfort zone for a cause that matters deeply to so many of us. I have officially buzzed and bleached my head to raise vital funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. But the challenge does not stop with a new look, because I really want to push my limits to show my solidarity for everyone affected by this disease.
On August 1st, I will be hitting the pavement to run an initial 21 kilometers to kick off the month. From there, the distance is entirely in your hands: for every 2 dollars donated, I will run another 1 kilometer throughout the rest of August. Breast cancer impacts so many families, and I wanted to do something bold to help fund a future with zero deaths from this disease. The more we raise together, the further I will run for the cause.
This page is officially live, and I am looking for my very first supporters to help start this journey and put my running shoes to the test. No contribution is too small, and every single dollar goes directly toward life saving research, education, and support services.

Thursday 9th JulShareWhen I set out to do Phil's Run for Research, I set a modest goal of $150, hoping I could contribute just a small piece to the puzzle. Today, I looked at the page and saw we have reached $453.
I am quite literally in tears writing this. To see this kind of love, generosity, and support pouring in has completely overwhelmed me. This isn't just a number on a screen this money represents real hope, real funding for life-changing breast cancer research, and a step closer to a cure.
