Welcome to Knit for the Girls 2026

Knit for the Girls (KFTG) is an annual fibre arts community breast cancer research fundraiser, now in it's 6th year.

Over the past five years we've raised $186,000 AUD for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (Australia) and a further $146,000 CAD for Breast Cancer Canada & North American Breast Cancer Foundation.

Breast cancer has touched nearly all of us—whether personally or through someone we love. Through this fundraiser, our fibre arts community can come together to support research that saves lives.

We’re so grateful to our 2026 Sponsors who have made this year's fundraiser possible. From indie dyers to yarn shop owners to tool makers, these partners contributed raffle prizes that power Knit for the Girls. Thank you for making this fundraiser possible.

Knit for the Girls 'Down Under' Pattern Collection

Launching 1st October 2026, the Knit for the Girls 'Down Under' Pattern Collection brings together some of our beloved Australian knit & crochet designers and hand-dyers, in support of the Knit for the Girls breast cancer research fundraiser.

Discover six brand-new accessory patterns which have been designed in exclusive, pink-inspired colourways by some of our favourite 'down under' indie dyers, made exclusively for this year's collection.

Each pairing brings together a designer's vision and a dyer's palette — created by fibre artists who wanted to lend their craft to a cause that's touched so many of us.

Knit or crochet along with us this October — with 20% of every pattern and yarn sale being donated to the official Knit for the Girls breast cancer fundraiser, in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

All pattern and yarn kits will be available for purchase through the designers and dyers online shops from Thursday, 1st October.
