Margarita Gals Run for Research!
This year's run in the Harbour 10 is a little different for me. Recently, I joined a club none of us ever wants to join. The breast cancer club. It turns out it comes with a lot of appointments, a crash course in medical terminology, and a deep appreciation for research and the people funding it.
Research is the reason treatments exist, why survival rates keep improving, and why, hopefully, one day, fewer people will hear the words “you have cancer.” That’s why the Margarita Gals are running together in the Real Insurance Harbour 10 on the 26th of July.
We’re raising money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation to support research into prevention, early detection and better treatments, so that one day we can get to their goal of zero deaths from breast cancer.
