Céline Martine - Pink Edit for NBCF

By Marion Lecesne

I'm now a Pink Hero

When I first created the Céline Martine Josephine head wrap, it wasn’t designed with hair loss in mind. It came from my own frustration with headscarves constantly slipping and never quite staying where I wanted them to.

But over the years, something I never expected happened. Our pieces began to be embraced by women experiencing hair loss, particularly women with alopecia and women going through chemotherapy. I started receiving messages from customers telling me that having something beautiful to wear other than a wig helped them feel feminine, confident and, sometimes, simply a little more like themselves again.

Those messages have stayed with me.

After nearly ten years of Céline Martine being connected to this community, I wanted to find a meaningful way to give something back. That is why I’ve chosen to fundraise for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

October, being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, felt like a natural place to begin. But for me, this is about more than one month or simply wearing pink. It is about acknowledging a community that has become such an important part of the Céline Martine story and using what we do to help contribute, even in a small way, to a future with better outcomes for people affected by breast cancer.

So this October, $10 from every pink Céline Martine head wrap purchased will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, And $5 from each headband.

It feels like a small way of saying thank you, while supporting research that can make a very real difference.
