Lauren Barton founder and owner of Bellbrae Clay was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2025 at the age of 42.
It was a big shock, especially having no symptoms. After a double mastectomy 3 weeks later, She is now cancer free with ongoing treatment for the next 5 years of daily medication, monthly treatment in hospital along with the side effects are a consistent reminder of how quickly life can change out of our control.
“Boob Bowls for Breast Cancer,” is an annual event and fundraiser that aims to bring further awareness to early detention and the importance of regular health check ups for busy women, while getting creative with clay in the Bellbrae Clay studio.
Did you know that every day 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people in Australia die every day from this disease?
Bellbrae Clay's Boob Bowls for Breast Cancer event in back in 2026 after such a successful fundraiser last year.
