A grateful survivor
Did you know that every day 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 Australians die every day from this disease? In October 2018, my mother lost the battle with breast cancer, and in March 2025, I was shocked to be diagnosed with it. I also have several female members of my extended family who have been affected by this terrible disease.
I've decided to raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to help National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer. I was one of the lucky ones and due to the amazing research being undertaken, I was detected early and able to take immediate action. At my six-month-post-op check up in September 2025, after undergoing surgery and radiotherapy, there was NED (no evidence of disease). I'm now on medication for the next five years to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Please support me and my pledge to save lives and make a difference.
Every donation, big or small, will get me closer to reaching my goal. Together, we can stop deaths from breast cancer.
