27 Kilometer Swim for Vanishree

My Friend Vanishree is a clinical Nurse specialist, mother to Thomas and wife to Clinton. She is now going through treatment and procedures.

Vanishree has made public health her vocation.

Now your donation will send her a beautiful, positive message of love and care, while supporting me as I clock up 27 kilometres swimming this month!

Your donation will directly motivate me to swim for her and send big positive messages.

9 people in Australia die from breast cancer every single day.

This November, I am taking part in Swim For Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Please make a donation to support my challenge and let's make a splash to save lives together!

Thank you for your support.

Saturday 29th Nov

18.5 K and counting $385 - Entrance pool

Saturday 22nd Nov
Today is 22 November, and it is raining. Just before I went into the pool, I gave out a few of my little flyers with my QR code. And I met John. I can't speak too much about his story, but I can't say how cancer affects everyone around us, either someone you know directly or indirectly. The fact that John is my sponsor today is humbling. I hope that he knows that I swim for people like him, and I hope that something that I do will contribute to a solution.

another K down today at Wyong

Thursday 20th Nov
I am determined to honour the challenge and complete my 27k challenge

16.5k and every k is true

Wednesday 19th Nov
I only log my actual swims; I do not cheat and seek to achieve my goal.

15 Ks Today 23 min Toukley Indoor and a donation

Monday 17th Nov
I want to reach my 27K goal and I want to believe that the people that are sponsoring are genuinely getting money to help cause to fight breast cancer. Today is Mundy and I just came out of the pool at Toukley.

13K the day after I turn 61

Saturday 15th Nov
Mario died a few months ago, and Darrel died a week ago, not from cancer, but from Cardiac. The human body is fragile. I swim to be here for my daughter as I grow older. To try to get as much as I can out of this life, knowing that many do not get a chance. I am grateful, but I know much more needs to be done for people like Vanishree and many more.

Today is my 61st Birthday

Friday 14th Nov
Happy Birthday to me, I am sixty-one and have good health! I have clocked up 12k and aim to reach my 27k Goal and have been giving out QR codes.

This week, I was hit by a mini tornado, a twister, that took tiles off the roof. It was shocking and scary, but we got through.
I am feeling blessed and okay.

Mini tornado made me miss a day

Thursday 13th Nov
I had to fix the roof, sorry

10th November

Monday 10th Nov
Swam at Wyong, 1k, 25min cool and fresh - Thank you to Cohen Leese for your kind donation!

Swimming daily for Breast Canser Foundation

Sunday 9th Nov
I've been swimming every day and have now clocked up 9 km, which is 1 km every day in November. I've been handing out lots of QR codes so people can try to donate, but from what I can see, for every 50 or so I give, I'll be lucky to get one donation. I've been swimming at the Ocean 50 m Pool, Toukley Indoor 25 and while Olympic 50 m. I must say I'm in pretty good shape for it, but I hope that I can make some contribution to this wonderful cause.

Massive thank you to my sponsors
