Pilgrim Pink Ribbon Morning Tea
🎀 PINK RIBBON MORNING TEA AT PILGRIM 🎀

Hello everyone
I haven’t really spoken publicly about my breast cancer journey.
For the past four years, cancer treatment has been part of me and my families life. There have been good stretches where life felt almost normal again — and then there was last year.
Last year was shit.
Surgery. Chemotherapy. Radiotherapy. Appointments, needles, exhaustion, fear, tears and days when I simply wanted to stay in bed.
But I also discovered something incredibly beautiful in amongst all of that — people.
My family carried me through more than they will probably ever realise. Some very special friends stood beside me when I needed them most. My beautiful KI Hunt Club family rallied around me, and the Parndana community wrapped its arms around us in that wonderful way a small country community does.
There were messages, meals, kindness, laughter, check-ins and people simply showing up.
And thats what got me through.
So this October, I’d like to turn something incredibly difficult into something positive.
On Thursday 22 October from 10am–12pm, Pilgrim will be turning PINK for a very special Pink Ribbon Morning Tea, raising funds for breast cancer research and support.
Come and join us for cups of tea and beautiful French sweet and savoury pastries from Les Douceurs de Sooz, along with raffles, gifts, a guest speaker and selected fashion at half price.
Teachers — please pop in during your recess break. We would absolutely love to see you.
There is no set ticket price. Instead, I’d love you to make a donation to my fundraiser page — your donation is your ticket. Scan the QR code is in the post.

Most of all, this morning is about women supporting women.
Because one of the biggest things cancer has taught me is that we are not meant to do the hard things alone. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is stand beside another woman and say, I’m here.
Come for a cup of tea, eat something delicious, wear pink, have a laugh, perhaps shed a tear, and help us raise money for a cause that touches far too many of our lives.
