Weare proud to announce that we are hosting and raising funds for breast cancer awareness and research. Breast cancer affects millions of lives every year — including our patients, families, friends, and colleagues. We believe that through awareness, early detection, and funding for critical research, we can help save lives and support those currently fighting this disease. Why are we doing this? Because every life matters. Because prevention and treatment start with awareness. Because no one should face breast cancer alone.

I am hosting my Strike Me Pink Breast Cancer Brunch in honour of those who have and are suffering from this dreadful disease. I am one of the lucky ones having survived from multi-focal breast cancer for more than 20 years. It’s not an easy journey but with continued support, perseverance and research, this disease can be beaten. Thank you to everyone who continues to assist in supporting the NCBF and good luck to those diagnosed and undergoing treatment. Together a cure can be found. Be strong!

We are hosting our Caring Hearts buffet breakfast in honour of my beautiful sister Melissa Who has been going through the brest cancer journey 💕

This provides an opportunity for us all to focus on breast cancer and its impact on those affected by the disease in our community. West Hotel Sydney will host a morning tea for their team members to raise as much money as possible!

My friend took on this struggle so bravely. She has been very matter of fact about her diagnosis, treatment and post treatment care. She has said repeatedly that she was helped by the breast cancer nurses. It is in her honour that I undertake this fundraiser.

In June 2023 I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer which resulted in seven months of treatment, learning my cancer was hereditary thanks to a faulty BRCA2 gene, and undergoing two major surgeries. Thanks to genetic testing, we learnt my sister is also genetically susceptible. I had the most wonderful support team and am hosting a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea at my work to celebrate my fantastic outcomes and let others know they are supported.

On the 26th of September 2024, at the age of 27, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I am wanting to turn lemons into lemonade and use my story to help raise vital funds for breast cancer research and help the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer. Throughout my journey, I have had an incredible support system. I am hosting a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea not only to fundraise but also to celebrate the end of my cancer treatment with my nearest and dearest.

In Honour. In Hope. In Action. At BMAS Biloela, we stand with the 1 in 7 women diagnosed with breast cancer – our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, colleagues, and customers. This October, we proudly join the fight by hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast and raising funds for breast cancer research. We dedicate our tribute to all the incredible women in our community who have faced breast cancer with strength, to those we've lost too soon, and to the families who carry their stories forward. We’re working towards a future where Zero Deaths from Breast Cancer is not just a vision, but a reality. With love and determination, The BMAS Biloela Team

Nanny Sandra 21/5/1944 - 13/1/1996 "I won't be there to see her grow up" Was my Nans heartbreaking answer to "what's wrong?" whilst tears ran down her face after we had been giggling to each other. She was the first person I giggled with at almost 4 months old.. I don't remember her voice but these words play on repeat in my head everyday. My Nan is my guardian angel. She has proved this many times, she is watching over all of us and keeping us safe.. I feel her presence, I feel her support and there is no doubt that when I do stupid things she's either shaking her head or laughing her arse off! I wish we had more time together.. that we got the chance to have more photos and memories shared and that you got to watch me grow up from down here. I only hope you're proud of who I am or at least who I am trying to be 🩷 I love you Nan x

lets get together and support those who have been and are effected
