Hi Everyone,

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year it means a little more to me personally.

As most of you know, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2025 and is still undergoing treatment. Watching someone you love go through something like this is incredibly difficult, and it has made this cause even more important and close to my heart.

1 in 7 Australian women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

This October, I’ll be doing a few different things to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research and support the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

1. Pink Ribbon Breakfast at my workplace
I’ll be hosting a breakfast at work where everyone is welcome to get involved and make a donation. If you work somewhere that would also like to hold a Pink Ribbon Breakfast, I’d love for you to get involved too!

2. Walk down The Strand
I’ll also be organising a walk along The Strand on a Saturday in October. I’d love for you, your family and friends to join me. All you need to do is make a donation and wear something pink to help raise awareness and show your support.

3. Raffle / Numbers Board
I’ll also be running a raffle/numbers board with some great prizes up for grabs. I’m currently organising the prizes and will share all the details once everything is confirmed.

There will be a few different ways you can get involved throughout October, and I’d love your support in any way you can - whether that’s joining an event, buying a raffle ticket or making a donation via the link at anytime, or simply sharing the post.

I’m doing this in honour of my mum, for everyone currently fighting breast cancer, for those who have sadly lost their battle, and for all the families who are affected by it.

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference and helps support research that could one day save the lives of people like my mum and so many others.
