Makisushi 's Pink Ribbon Breakfast

Why Makisushi is participating Pink Ribbon Breakfast

I believe many people have had someone they know talk to them about breast cancer. Though my case was mild, we are also one of those who can now share my story.
After going through cancer treatment, the way I see the world has changed.
Having worked at Our shop for many years, I’ve met all kinds of customers. Even without saying much, I can often tell when someone is undergoing cancer treatment.
Not everyone is able to come back to the shop after recovery.
The reason I decided to take part in this project is because I want to welcome back as many people as possible—healthy and smiling again.
I truly hope that while enjoying the Japanese breakfast we’ve prepared, people will feel encouraged to talk about getting checkups and think more about their health.

What Pink Ribbon means to me

Monday 20th Oct

When I was diagnosed with cancer, it felt as if my world had come to an end.
Even though I wasn’t facing death itself, all my positive thoughts seemed to vanish somewhere.
I was overwhelmed by fear, sorrow, and a deep sense of helplessness.
The hardest part was the time it took to regain the ability to see things in a positive light.

When I began facing my doctors and discussing treatment options and plans, I finally found my resolve.
What helped me move forward were small acts of encouragement — a friend’s kind words, or a fundraising event I happened to see in town.
I began to truly recognize that so many people are confronting this same challenge.
The pink ribbons I had seen countless times before suddenly looked gentle and full of meaning.
Now, I want to cook with the hope that my food might, even indirectly, bring comfort or encouragement to someone.
