Why am I hosting this?
As many of you know, in 2006 I lost my beautiful mum to breast cancer.
It’s been almost 20 years without her, but her love and strength continue to inspire me every day & not a day goes by where I don’t wish I had her guidance.
October is Breast Cancer awareness month, and on 3 October I will be hosting a morning tea at work to raise awareness for the cause.
I have come together with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support me in doing so. My goal is to raise $1000 for NBCF to support vital breast cancer research.
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer amongst women in Australia, and it's estimated that 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime.
With your support, NBCF can continue to fund world-class research to prevent, detect, stop and treat breast cancer – research that ultimately save lives.
Breast cancer doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed – it touches families, children, and entire communities. By coming together, raising awareness, and funding vital research, we can bring hope to so many. If you can donate, share, or simply show up in support, it would mean the world to me.
