Support my challenge to swim for breast cancer!
9 people in Australia die from breast cancer every single day. This fact is devastating enough. My motivation is more personal though as I'm going through active treatment for breast cancer at the moment. The positive thing about getting diagnosed in young years is that my body is strong and side effects of treatment by far not pleasant but manageable. Being active helps- I've always loved swimming!
This November, I am taking part in Swim For Breast Cancer to raise awareness and funds for everyone who is impacted by this life changing disease.
The funds raised will go to National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.
I'm not sure if I can complete 9km in November by myself so I'm already starting (in October) and have recruited my mum and auntie who are visiting in November.
