I'm now a Zero Hero
After drinking way too much champagne at a friend’s 10th Breast Cancer Pink Breakfast in 2014 – I agreed to take over as host. Bev Walker was hanging up her bra after 10 years and $30,000! Yep – a big bra to fill!!
Earlier in 2014 a beautiful friend was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer (ironically, the first friend or close person I know!) – she had a mastectomy and had some pretty harsh chemo. Ironically, I myself then got the news that I had early stage breast cancer and had to have my nipple area taken off and underwent radiation therapy (with my gorgeous friend along side me also getting the last of her treatment!).
Anyhoo, this all made the Biggest Pink Breakfast personal and with an amazing and large circle of friends and family, we have been having HUGE par-tays over the last few years, with the motto “Chicks Check Ya Tits”!
“Breakfast” is an all day event - with support from local and national companies; we have an awesome local band The Distractions, have played in the afternoons - this absolutely makes the day! We have raffles, auctions, lucky door prizes - show bags for everyone who comes donated by www.birdsnest.com.au
. Champagne flowing and fun fun fun for a fabulous cause.
