This October, Experience Broken Hill is proud to host a Pink Ribbon Breakfast at Broken Hill Tourist Park in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

For our family and team, this cause is particularly close to home. Aileen McIvor, one of the owners of Experience Broken Hill, was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2025. Like so many Australians, we have experienced firsthand the impact a breast cancer diagnosis can have, not only on the person diagnosed, but on their family, friends and workplace.

With 1 in 7 Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, it is something that touches so many people. Through our accommodation businesses, we welcome guests travelling from all over Australia, and we hear their stories too. Almost everyone seems to know a family member, friend, colleague or someone in their community who has been affected by breast cancer.

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're bringing our Broken Hill community, team and guests together over breakfast to raise vital funds for breast cancer research and support the National Breast Cancer Foundation's vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
