As a woman, a sister to three women, and someone who has seen friends and extended family face breast cancer, this cause is deeply personal to me. With 1 in 7 women diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, I want every person affected to know: you are seen, you are heard, and your experience matters.
Breast cancer can take so much—your sense of security, parts of your body, plans to breastfeed, and sometimes people we love far too soon.
That is why I am hosting a Pink Ribbon event this October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, raising vital funds for breast cancer research and supporting NBCF’s vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
